Purely scientific and informative...

I loved this textbook. I purchased this textbook for an "Intro to Forensic Science" class and learned so much useful things. True, not being a medical sciences major has a disadvantage, as some of the more technical (medical or chemistry) information went a bit over my head, but I largely was able to digest and acquire a great deals of learning through it.
It's definitely worth the price and I can recommend it based on the large amount of scientific and medical information it contains. Enjoy!

Crappy Paperback Cover

I bought this book for a class I'm taking. Saferstein is the best FS book out there for Basic Crime Scene education. The information is laid out in an intelligent & easy to follow manner. My biggest complaint is that it is in a softcover/paperback format. I am 4 weeks into the course and the cover is already dinged-up and damaged. Why don't they make hardback textbooks anymore? I would gladly pay the extra money for a book that lasts.

Nice

This book was for a class I'm taking. The book is well written and has good details. It is NOT for young people. There are some disturbing pictures in it but they relate to the text. It is forensic's and it's not always pretty to look at.
